A wonderful holiday farmhouse…

Welcome to Gite Les Roches, a luxury farmhouse fully renovated in 2002-4. Located on the edge of a Bastide village with fabulous panoramic views over a secluded valley, it offers 5 bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, one of which is a self-contained apartment. There is a stunning heated saltwater swimming pool surrounded by a lovely stone-slabbed terrace, which is fully enclosed by natural rocks and walls – a safe, lovely, private suntrap.

An abundance of facilities…

Whilst retaining its natural French rustic charm, it never-the-less boasts every modern convenience. The gite is extremely well-equipped – from a summer kitchen at pool level with outdoor fridge, triple BBQs and copper sink, to sauna, shower, loo and changing facilities. The farmhouse kitchen is a chef’s delight, whilst the book library, Sky TV and video library will entertain all ages and interests.

In a great location…

Nestled in a quiet corner of Fonroque, with Boulangerie (bakery) and Epicerie (convenience store), we are in the heart of France’s gastronomic centre of excellence and are well-served by numerous excellent restaurants. And what better accompaniment than the local wine – we are surrounded by the vineyards and chateaux of the Bergerac wine region, comprising the magnificent appellations of Côtes de Bergerac, Pécharmant, Rosette, Monbazillac, Saussignac and Montravel, and Pecharmant. And with the River Dordogne closeby, there are plenty of activities on offer to suit everyone. The towns of Eymet, Issegeac, Duras, Bergerac, Monflanquin, Monpazier, Domme, Sarlat, Beynac, Rogue-Gageac and St Emilion are all within easy striking distance
