There are plenty of activities close to Les Roches, many geared towards children such as the Aquapark, Village Bournat, and Aquarium.

Theme Parks

Parc-en-Ciel is a family paradise, with its suspended walkways through the forest, its large animal farm and themed gardens. Situated near Villereal it is about thirty minutes drive away. You could easily spend the whole day there. There is another Airparc at Perigord for those who are interested. Village Bournat is another fantastic day out, situated on the banks of the Vezere at La Bugue, approximately an hours drive away. This park has recreated a village from 100 years ago. There are local artisans, a fairground of its time, restaurants and picnic sites. Also at La Bugue is the Aquarium du Perigord Noir, the largest privately owned aquarium in Europe, and a great little Crazy Golf course. Slightly further away is one of France’s most popular theme parks, Walibi Land. The rides are geared towards all ages and keep the whole family entertained. Situated near Agen, the park is about one and a half hours from Les Roches.

Parc-en-Ciel - a series of aerial ropeways through the forest to suit all ages and levels. Fantastic fun for all the family! Aquarium du Perigord - reputed to be the largest private aquarium in Europe. Crazy Gold is nearby, as is Village Bournat.

Water Parks

The Aquapark in Bergerac is only 15 minutes from Les Roches with 4 swimming pools, chutes, crazy golf and karting. A fun day out for everyone. Although an hour and half away, there is a another water park, Aqua Land. This park is much bigger and geared towards older children and adults. It is well worth the drive.

Bergerac Aquapark - excellent for kids and parents alike! There is a man-made beach and lake, with facilities, at Pomport - just 15 mins up the road.

Boating Trips

If canoeing isn't for you, another way to see the best of the Dordogne valley is by boat. There are several companies that run Gabarres, the traditional vessel of the area. Trips are combined with a locally produced lunch and visits to special sites along the river. It is a glorious day out. The Gabarre de Bergerac is only 15 minutes away on the Quai Salvette and is one of the more traditional vessels.

Aquitaine region where Les Roches is located is called "the land of water" and there is plenty of that close by with numerous lakes and rivers. The Atlantic ocean is only an hour and half away with over two hundred kilometres of sandy beaches.

Biscarrosse Beach is under 2 hours away, and offers miles of white sandy beaches. Dordogne River
